  1. Outstanding, Doug! I so appreciate Steve’s ministry and his commitment to such a simple, good message that gets twisted into an uphill battle to deliver. God’s not angry! Who wouldn’t want to hear that? Who wouldn’t that to be true? Sadly, so much of our religiosity fights it — and fights hard. I loved the illustration that Steve gave from Michael Kelly Blanchard’s song as a reminder for us radio people to show a picture of Jesus that “don’t look angry at all.”

  2. Wow….Doug…nice interview…and Steve Brown is so real. I really appreciate you drawing out the essence of what makes him tick. Having been in Christian radio for years, and Christian schools, and fundraising, I’ve sure had to battle wearing a “mask”. It’s a good thing God loves me behind the mask. Steve is a gem.

  3. This interview and the comments you made in conclusion were very helpful to me. I took a whole page of notes. I’m just getting started in Christian broadcasting…and the task seems daunting, but I’m more hopeful, having found your blog and listening to your efforts in bringing the “Main Thing” as Steve put it, lifted up! An awakening is happening with me right now.
